About Merengue
Merengue is a one-of-a-kind sculpture created especially for our daughter and her husband for a specific wall in their home. It is a combination of expanding their favorite earlier design, Gemini, with the parameters of their space –i.e. a horizontal wall.
It’s name comes from the Salsa dance because the motion sectors of the two halves are a visually enthralling interplay between each other. The viewer is captivated while watching the sweep of the arms. For more information, the development of this piece is explained in detail on my blog here.
